Resorts World Hudson Valley in Orange County, New York, is nearing its official reopening. Last week, its owner, Genting Malaysia, announced that it will be hosting a job fair in order to start filling up positions for the casino. The plans for the new multi-million casino at the Newburgh Mall were first announced last year by Genting Malaysia’s Resorts World. The mall is located on Route 300 in Orange County, New York, and the new gaming property has taken up the vacant space in the property which was previously vacated by “The Bon-Ton” store.
Edging Closer to Opening
Initial plans of Resorts World suggested that their new property, Resorts World Hudson Valley, would be able to open its doors for patrons at the start of this year. However, due to numerous factors, this was not the case. But the recently announced job fair hints that the owner is close to completing the multi-million venue and opening it to the public soon.
According to the gaming leader, the career fair will take place on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Orange Works Career Center, which is located at the 3 Washington Center 4th Floor in Newburgh, NY. The event will be a perfect opportunity for locals who are looking for a new challenge to give a shot, and the company welcomes everyone who is fun, friendly, and outgoing.

Obtaining Approvals
In order to begin the construction of the 90,000-square feet casino at Newburgh Mall, Resorts World needed a go-ahead from the Newburgh Planning Board. The company acquired it back in May 2021, as the Newburgh’s Town Board unanimously approved the State Environmental Quality Review. This allows for the placing of video lottery terminals in the shopping center.
Then in June 2021, the company 宣布 that construction was about to start and that it could take up to 12 months. The development of the VLT venue has provided work for almost 200 people, said the operator. The new casino would offer 1,300 video gaming machines, along with the company’s trademark Bar360 lounge, making it an appealing location for gamblers from all over the country.
